The 2008 NFL Handicappers Challenge
Renamed "The Carib Classic"

Guaranteed OVER $250,000.00 in Prizes


1) Must register on or before 1pm EST Sunday September 28th, 2008

  • NEW!! The Carib Classic will remain open for late sign-ups until September 28th for the same
       $250 entry fee (not eligible for Last Place Biggest Loser prize)
  • NEW!! Late entries will still be eligible to win weekly prizes and Carib Classic prizes listed for
       1st thru 20th place
  • Multiple entries for The Carib Classic may be purchased.

    2) Prepaid entry fee of $250 automatically enters the contestant into 2 separate contests:
    The Carib Classic and The Pick 10 Weekly Handicappers Challenge

  • The Carib Classic (Cash prizes totaling $165,000)
  • Pick 10 Weekly Handicappers Challenge (Cash Prizes totaling over $85,000)
  • Carib Classic participants may purchase additional entries for the Pick 10 Weekly Handicappers
        Challenge for $20 per entry, per week at anytime during the regular season

    3) Each entry must consist of 10 picks against the point spread.

  • Opening lines will be posted at approximately 8am EST every Tuesday throughout the 17 week NFL
        regular season
  • NEW!! Lines will be updated once per day at approximately 8am EST Wednesday thru Sunday
        (Bet early, or bet late, it.s your call!)
  • NEW!! Totals will be used on selected games
  • Time and date will be recorded on all submitted entries for each contestant to view on
        the leaderboard
  • The leaderboard standings will be calculated by the following point system:
        WIN = 2pts, PUSH = 1pt, LOSS = 0pts
    • 4) Listed below are The 2008 CARIB CLASSIC prizes. (Remember there are 2 separate contests)

  • The Pick 10 Weekly Handicappers Challenge prize money is listed separately in the rules for that

    1st-$50,000 8th-$5,000 15th-$2,500
    2nd-$25,000 9th-$4,500 16th-$2,000
    3rd-$10,000 10th-$4,000 17th-$2,000
    4th-$9,000 11th-$3,500 18th-$2,000
    5th-$8,500 12th-$3,000 19th-$2,000
    6th-$8,000 13th-3,000 20th-$2,000
    7th-$6,000 14th-$3,000 *Last place-$10,000 (Biggest Loser)

    *Must submit 170 picks to qualify for Last place
    • 5) Contestants tying for 1st thru 20th place will equally split the aggregate money from the respective places. This policy also applies to the $10,000 "Biggest Loser" last place prize.
    6) Carib Classic entries will close Sundays at 1:00pm EST
  • If there is a Thursday and/or Saturday game, and the contestant wants to include a team or
        total from one of those games, the contestant MUST submit his completed entry before that game
        starts. All other contestants not wishing to use a team or total in a Thursday or Saturday game will
        have until Sunday 1pm EST to submit their entries.
  • All picks must be made online. Selections will not be accepted via telephone
  • Once your picks have been submitted, all selections are final
  • Carib Sports employees may not alter, change or cancel any entry previously submitted.
    • 7) Leaderboard: Each contestant's picks will be automatically entered on 2 separate leaderboards.
  • The Carib Classic leaderboard will be comprised of ONLY those contestants who entered
        The Carib Classic.
  • The Pick 10 Weekly Handicappers Challenge leaderboard will list the combined entries of
        both the Carib Classic participants (those contestants who paid a one time $250 entry fee), as well
        as the Pick 10 Weekly Handicappers Challenge participants (those contestants who play weekly for
        $20 but are NOT included in the Carib Classic)
  • Both Leaderboards will reflect results from the previous week, until Sunday at 1pm EST,
        at which time selections for the current week will be made available for viewing by all Carib Classic
        contestants.
  • Participants in the Carib Classic should visit the leaderboard for this contest, and the leaderboard
        for the Pick 10 Weekly Handicappers Challenge, to view their position in each contest
    • 8) If a game is postponed and not played by midnight on Monday, both sides will be considered winners.
    9) Carib Sports employees or their families are not eligible to play
